A feasibility study for an empty bar/club exploring different forms of residential accommodation, to help the client find the most viable solution for the site post-Covid.
The study proposed reducing the size of the bar/club, which previously occupied the lower 4 storeys, with only limited residential accommodation above. The upper 3 storeys (as well as the airspace above the building to the rear) could then be used to provide residential accommodation, with a smaller commercial unit on the lower levels. Alternative residential uses were explored, such as residential apartments, student or nurse accommodation and a hostel for vulnerable residents or homeless persons.
