A series of bold interventions responding to the brutalist 50’s architecture of the original factory building have transformed this building into a vibrant new workplace.
Bedford Heights was converted from the former Texas Instruments building into an office complex in 1999. The client approached us with a vision to extend and refurbish the reception and communal areas, and improve access into the building.
The cafe and lounge underwent an extensive refurbishment in 2015. The second phase of the works comprised of a refurbished glazed box to house a contemporary reception area welcoming visitors on their arrival to Bedford Heights. The site levels were raised to create a landscaped courtyard with a new entrance staircase up to the main reception. A new DDA compliant entrance was provided at the lower level allowing easy access to the new conference suite.
